ScrapFx Challenge - Mood Board

A new challenge  is up at ScrapFX blog!
This is the mood board to use as inspiration:

The colors of the mood board really inspired me!

I created a watercolor background using those colors and worked with the color combo with the embellhishments too.

When I saw the circles I wanted to use them on my layout, so I decided to use the Ripples Stencil as embellishment and added to my background giving some “movement” to the page.

Using glossy accents I outlined the stencil creating little crystal pearls.

Some paper flowers and the yellow feathers complete the page.

And my tip is:

Use stencils as an embellishment!

ScrapFX layouts- June

Hi, everyone!

Just want to share my projects using the new releases from ScrapFX Australia.

For the first project I created a colorful page using the chips painted black ( I love this!)

Those new wordlets are perfect for romantic pages and those HASH BITS are awesome for adding cool details to the projects.

Look how amazing it is:

For the second page, I used a mix of chipboard pieces matching with the colors of the papers .

Most of the chipboard pieces are in black. The small feathers are green and turquoise.

All the pieces were painted using acrylic paint.

The wordlet LOVE completes the layout.

ScrapFX layouts - May

Hello,everybody!

I am at ScrapFX Australia blog to share my projects using the May releases.

I must confess I have difficulty in using this  theme, but in the end I had a different idea to use them in a colorful layout.

My son love soldiers so I use the mini shapes to register that.

I added more mini  shapes like dinos, bike, airplanes and monsters to document his favorite toys.

All the shapes were painted with acrylic paint eventhe black splats and the alphabet letters.

For the second layout I used  all the Feather Stamps.

You can create lots of beautiful things with those stamps. They are amazing.

Crazy for you

I stamped using different colors of ink  onto paper to give a contrast on my blue background.

Then I cut out the feathers and  used as embellishments creating layers. So cool,right?

The different sizes of feathers  gave movement to the page .

The wordlet CRAZY FOR YOU was painted using black paint.

ScrapFX group challenge

Hello,everyone!

Welcome to the first group post challenge of 2014!

For this challenge we have  this super inspirational mood board. Check it out:

Beautiful spring theme, filled with golds, pinks & teals.  A touch of love, splashed with some sparkle, and sentiments of wanderlust.  Perfect inspiration launchpad for this time of year, right?

So, the first part of the challenge extended to the team was to be inspired by this board in some way while creating projects.

The lovely Claire created the above super cool sketch for us all to work and this became the second portion of the team challenge.  Use the sketch as the basis for creating.

“Inspired by the pastel colors of the mood board I created a soft background using white spray mist and the Numbers Collage Stencil giving a soft shadow on the paper.

I love the color combo and I used those colors on my layout too.

When I look at the image I see the overlayers  and I tried to recreate those layers using papers and foam tape to give volume to the page and  following the sketch.

Some black chipboard to add a contrast and the page is done!”

ScrapFX layouts

Hi,everyone!

I have 2 projects to share  with you using ScrapFX goodies.

The first one is something “clean”. I wanted to feature this picture that I loved and decided to work with just a few elements on the page.

The background is  messy with acrylic paint blue and yellow and over  the paint I used a texture paste with the  Chicken wire stamp;

The Bunch of flowers stamp was used in the transparency film  and under the paper flowers;

The wordlet was painted with black ink.

For the second layout I sprayed blue on the background and I used the chevron stencil with  white texture paste.

I added some black elements using the Bunch of flowers stamp and the flourish under the picture.

And the wordlet was painted with black acrylic paint.

multiphoto layout

Hi,everyone!

I am  here to share a new layout with you!

I always print my photos at home and sometimes I have too many photos in different sizes.

So, I decided to use them all in a scrapbooking layout.

I used the film strips frame and cut out my photos to the size of the small frames.

How cool is that?

After using the texture paste with the Moroccan Tile Stencil I sprayed some glimmer mist to add color but in a soft way.

The word set is  perfect for little details… and the title was painted with red ink.
